Our History

Parkland Travel & Cruise was founded in 1972 as Parkland Travel. It continued on until 1984 when the name was changed to INTRA Parkland Travel as we joined the INTRA Group. In 1993 Mardy Kulak, the current owner, took over and moved the business to its current location in the Historic "Sears" building on Main Street in Stony Plain. In 1999 the INTRA group merged with the Carlson Wagonlit Travel network and remained under this association for 4 years. As of January 1, 2003 the decision was made to leave the Carlson group and join a Canadian focused group called Ensemble Travel. This has allowed us to offer a more Western focused product base as well as providing a chance to return to our roots by changing our name back to Parkland Travel. With the changing industry trends we also added "& Cruise" to our name. Our new / old identity was coupled with a new logo, a more Canadian identity and now a new electronic medium to stay in closer touch with our customers.

How to Find Us

FROM EDMONTON
Travel West on Highway 16A. You will pass through Spruce Grove and Stony Plain is located 5 minutes further West. Exit right over the overpass and continue South into Stony Plain. Continue South through 2 sets of lights then take your second right after the second set of lights and go 2 blocks West to a four way stop. We are located on the North East Corner and our building has a large mural on the side (see our home page).

FROM ALL POINTS WEST
1/ Enter via the overpass and follow the instructions above. 2/ Enter Stony Plain before the overpass via the first exit. This puts you on Main Street (50th Street) heading South. Continue over the Rail Road tracks to a four way stop. We are at the end of the next block on the left hand side.
